Weekend two is quickly approaching us! Windy weather couldn’t have come at a better time with us being hosted in Strangford Lough at SLYC.
This weekend we are still at the base of our training triangle, boat handling. It has been 4 weeks since our last session and as seen on many social media posts lots of you have been out on the water! This is great to see!
Take a look at the below video:
What is the one thing you think that could improve this upwind leg?
The questions for this week!
SLYC is close to the narrows which we visited last week. Do you remember the max tidal strength we saw?
What are the materials of rope your kicker is made from (this includes inner core and sleeve)
How do we stop the boat from going into irons?
What brand is your toothbrush?
Can you tie a figure of 8 and a bow line?
This Sunday will also be slightly different with a number of boats from SLYC joining us as part of their winter training. This means not only will we have an additional coach on the water but also more boats to train against! Use this time wisely.
P.s. bring a bit of rope for the briefing
See you all Saturday ready and rigged 10am!
