Looking like a consistent weekend ahead for us at Whiterock. Flat water, good breeze, the perfect time to get some starting practice. Starts are very often where races are won, a good start gives you options, clear breeze and allows you to have a degree of control over the fleet. Have a look at the diagram below:

You have been warned, the area in red is the area we will not be starting in this weekend.
You will also not be allowed to start on port! 99% of the time a Port start is not an option, we need to practice for the big events.
We might even think up some sort of punishment.....
Have a look at these questions before the weekend:
Checkout a video of something called crabbing (not crabs, the action of crabbing), write down notes on how it can be done
What does the orange flag mean?
If a black flag is used and a general recall flag is shown, what happens to those people that are over the line?
What is the most interesting thing in your room right now?
If you were at the Winters, write down one thing to remember about the event
Lastly on Sunday we will be joined by the SLYC training group. I have no doubt you will make them all feel very welcome. We will also be joined by Hammy as a third coach on the water on Sunday.
See you all Saturday 10am!
